2007 DAF Trucks LF Heavy oil · MX57 AVD

The vehicle presents a stable maintenance profile with no recorded defects across the last five years of testing. The most recent MOT on 24 November 2025 at 485,272 miles returned a clean pass with no advisories, indicating that the vehicle has maintained a consistent standard of roadworthiness through its most recent inspections. The mileage accumulation is significant, averaging approximately 25,541 miles per year over its nineteen-year lifespan. The data shows a steady increase in usage, moving from 430,427 miles in November 2021 to 485,272 miles in late 2025. This consistent high-mileage usage suggests a vehicle used for heavy-duty commercial operations rather than intermittent short trips. The absence of sudden jumps or long periods of inactivity in the records points to a regular, predictable working life. Given the high cumulative mileage and the heavy-duty nature of the DAF LF chassis, a physical inspection should focus on high-wear mechanical components. While the MOT record is clean, the tester should scrutinise the suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers for signs of fatigue. The high mileage also necessitates a thorough check of the drivetrain, specifically looking for leaks around the gearbox or differential, and inspecting the brake discs and calipers for uneven wear or binding that might not have triggered an advisory during a standard MOT test. Structural integrity should be verified by checking the chassis rails for corrosion, particularly in areas where road salt may accumulate. The high annual mileage also implies that consumable items like tyres, wiper blades, and brake pads will likely require frequent replacement. A buyer should verify that the service history matches the rigorous usage pattern suggested by the mileage data to ensure the engine and turbocharger have received adequate lubrication and maintenance.
