2016 Vauxhall Astra 1.6L Diesel · NV16 YOX

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness based on a consistently clean maintenance record. The most recent inspection conducted on 30 July 2025 at 72,684 miles passed with no recorded defects or advisories. This streak of clean passes across the last five annual tests indicates that the previous owners maintained the vehicle to a high standard and that it has avoided the mechanical or structural failures that typically trigger DVSA alerts. The mileage pattern is remarkably consistent for a ten-year-old Astra, averaging approximately 7,200 miles per year. Between August 2021 at 35,419 miles and July 2025 at 72,684 miles, the car covered 37,265 miles, showing steady use without excessive. This low mileage suggests the vehicle has not sat for long periods, which often leads to seized brake calipers or perished rubber components. The lack of any significant mileage spikes or gaps between test intervals suggests the drivetrain and suspension components have been subjected to predictable stress levels over time. While the MOT history shows no recurring faults or worsening trends, a physical inspection should focus on common wear points for this age and mileage. A buyer should check the condition of the suspension bushes and coil springs, as these often degrade before they trigger an MOT failure. Given the low annual mileage, inspecting the brake discs for surface corrosion and checking the tyre sidewalls for cracking is advisable to ensure the vehicle has not suffered from intermittent use. Overall, the data points to a well-cared example that has avoided the typical mechanical pitfalls seen in older Vauxhall models.
