Recurring electrical minor defects and persistent tyre wear represent the primary mechanical trend for this vehicle, as evidenced by the most recent MOT pass on 05 June 2026. The records show a consistent pattern of inoperative registration plate lamps and position lamps causing failures in 2023, 2025, and 2026. Furthermore, there is a repetitive history of tyre advisories, specifically regarding the offside front tyre being worn close to the legal limit or worn on the edge, a condition that has appeared in the advisory notes for three consecutive testing cycles since 2023. The vehicle has covered 96,517 miles over its 14-year lifespan, which equates to an average annual accumulation of approximately 6,894 miles. This usage pattern is consistent with typical low-to-mid-range annual mileage for a vehicle of this age. Mechanically, this level of usage suggests that while the drivetrain and major components may not have been subjected to high-intensity long-distance motorway running, the vehicle has been used regularly enough to necessitate periodic replacement of consumables such as tyres and brake pads. Prospective buyers should pay close attention to the braking system and tyre condition during a physical inspection. The 05 June 2026 test included an advisory for front brake pads wearing thin, which follows a history of tyre wear issues. On a test drive, it is essential to check for any changes in brake pedal feel, such as sponginess or pulsation, and to listen for any squealing sounds during low-speed braking which may indicate the pads have reached their wear indicators. The repeated advisories for tyres worn on the edges suggest potential issues with wheel alignment or suspension geometry that should be verified by checking for any uneven steering pull or vibrations through the steering wheel at cruising speeds. Suspension components also require scrutiny following an advisory in June 2024 regarding light oil misting on the offside rear shock absorber. While this was not flagged in the most recent test, the history of fluid leakage on a damper warrants a visual check for any significant dampness or pooling of oil around the shock absorber body. During the test drive, listen for any knocking or clunking noises when traversing uneven surfaces or speed bumps, as these could indicate that the misting has progressed to a more significant seal failure or that other suspension bushes and linkages are beginning to degrade.
