2004 Citroen Berlingo 1.9L Diesel · OV54 VNY

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a remarkably stable maintenance trend over the last five years. The most recent inspection conducted on 5 August 2025 at 96,152 miles passed with no defects or advisories recorded. This clean sheet across multiple annual tests indicates that the vehicle has been maintained to a high standard and that mechanical components are currently operating without the typical failures seen in vehicles of this age. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 22-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 4,371 miles per year. Between August 2021 and August 2025, the car covered 22,954 miles, showing a consistent and low-usage profile of roughly 5,700 miles per annum. This low mileage suggests limited wear and tear on the drivetrain, engine, and brake components. However, the lack of frequent use also implies the vehicle may have sat for extended periods, which can sometimes lead to degradation of rubber components or fluid breakdown regardless of mileage. Despite the clean MOT history, a physical inspection should focus on components susceptible to age-related decay rather than mileage alone. A buyer must check for signs of corrosion on the structural sills and floor pans, as these are common areas for Citroen models over two decades. You should also inspect the suspension bushes and coil springs for cracking or perished, as low-use vehicles often suffer from dry rubber. Testing the brake system for seized or seized calipers is also advisable given the low frequency of use.
