2011 BMW 520 2.0L Diesel · PE11 ADX

The vehicle demonstrates consistent roadworthiness with no defects recorded in its last five annual MOT tests, including the most recent 2023-08-11 inspection at 176,028 miles. All prior tests from 2019 to 2022 also passed without issues, indicating a stable maintenance trend. No advisories or failures suggest the previous owners prioritized regular servicing, though the absence of detailed defect notes limits insight into minor wear patterns. The mileage progression aligns with typical usage for a 15-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 11,735 miles annually. The MOT records show steady accumulation, with intervals of 8,800 to 10,000 miles between tests, reflecting regular operation rather than prolonged inactivity. No significant gaps or rapid increases in mileage are evident, which reduces concerns about sudden mechanical stress. However, the lack of data beyond five years means older service history remains unverified. A buyer should physically inspect suspension components, such as bushes and coil springs, which may show age-related wear given the vehicle’s 15-year lifespan. Brake systems, including calipers and discs, warrant scrutiny despite no recorded issues, as these components degrade over time. The exhaust system and structural integrity should also be checked, as corrosion or fatigue could develop in older models. While the MOT history is clean, these areas require hands-on evaluation to confirm continued safety and reliability.
