2012 Ford Fiesta 1.6L Petrol · PX12 BWU

The 2012 Ford Fiesta demonstrates a stable roadworthiness trend, with all five MOT tests from 2022 to 2026 passing without defects. The most recent April 2026 test at 20,145 miles confirmed no issues, aligning with the consistent pattern of prior passes. No advisories or failures were recorded across the entire history, indicating responsible maintenance and no emerging mechanical concerns. The vehicle’s mileage of 20,145 miles at 14 years old equates to approximately 1,439 miles annually, significantly below average for its age. A notable increase occurred between 2022 (14,056 miles) and 2023 (16,796 miles), reflecting a 2,740-mile jump in a single year. Subsequent annual increments remained steady, with no evidence of rapid wear or excessive strain on components. The absence of defects despite this mileage pattern suggests the car has been well-maintained, though low usage may mask potential issues like seized joints or degraded rubber parts. A physical inspection should focus on suspension components, including bushes and coil springs, which can deteriorate over time without visible signs. Brake discs and calipers should be checked for uneven wear, as low mileage sometimes correlates with infrequent use leading to corrosion. Structural integrity and underbody corrosion, particularly in older models, warrant scrutiny. While the MOT history shows no red flags, the vehicle’s age and mileage profile necessitate a thorough examination of these areas to confirm continued reliability.
