2012 Mazda CX-5 2.2L Diesel · PX62 YPR

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a remarkably stable pass record over the last five years. The most recent inspection conducted on 26 August 2025 at 82,763 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This clean streak across consecutive tests suggests that the previous owners maintained a proactive maintenance schedule, as the vehicle has consistently met safety and environmental standards without any mechanical or structural failures. The mileage profile is notably low for a 2012-model, averaging approximately 5,900 miles per annum. Between August 2021 and August 2025, the car covered only 14,806 miles, moving from 67,957 to 82,763 miles. This low usage pattern typically reduces the wear on the drivetrain and engine components compared to higher mileage counterparts. However, low mileage on older vehicles can sometimes mask the degradation of rubber-based components or cause corrosion if the car sits stationary for extended periods between tests. Despite the clean MOT history, an in-person inspection should focus on age-related factors that a stationary test does not capture. The buyer must inspect the chassis and underbody for signs of structural corrosion, particularly around the sills and wheel arches, where Mazda vehicles of this era are vulnerable. Suspension bushes and bushings should be checked for cracking or per, as these materials perish over fourteen years regardless of distance driven. Checking the brake discs for pitting or binding calipers is also advisable, as low-frequency use can lead to surface seizing or uneven pad wear.
