2018 BMW X3 3.0L Diesel · PY18 DWJ

The vehicle presents a consistent and stable maintenance profile with a clean MOT history. The most recent test on 25 April 2025 at 54,681 miles resulted in a pass with no recorded defects or advisories. This follows a series of successful tests dating back to 2021, indicating that the vehicle has consistently met the minimum legal standards for roadworthiness without any recorded failures or structural concerns. The mileage accumulation appears steady and typical for a vehicle of this age. In the 2021 test at 19,998 miles, the car showed relatively low usage, which has since increased to 54,681 miles by the 2025 test. This represents an average annual usage of approximately 6,800 miles. The progression from 29,173 miles in May 2022 to 36,880 miles in April 2023, and then to 47,269 miles in May 2024, shows a consistent driving pattern rather than periods of excessive idling or sudden, heavy usage. Because the MOT record is entirely devoid of advisories, there are no documented issues regarding suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake corrosion to flag. However, the lack of recorded advisories for consumables like brake discs or tyre tread depth suggests the vehicle has been well-maintained or has simply not reached the threshold for wear-related failures. A physical inspection should focus on verifying the condition of the underbody for any signs of surface corrosion that may have occurred since the last test. A buyer should still conduct a thorough check of the vehicle's service history to supplement this MOT data. While the MOT records show no mechanical failures, they do not account for the maintenance of oil life, timing chains, or cooling system components. Given the steady mileage, the vehicle should be inspected for any signs of minor fluid leaks or wear on the suspension components that may not yet have triggered an MOT failure but are common as mileage increases.
