2016 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.6L Diesel · RW02 ALF

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, but the maintenance trend shows a clear shift toward deferred upkeep regarding wear items. The most recent test in May 2026 at 92,331 miles flagged defects in the front lower arm rear bushes and a worn nearside front tyre. This follows a 2025 test that also noted thin brake pads and similar tyre wear, indicating that the current owner is only addressing mechanical issues once they approach MOT failure thresholds. The mileage pattern is consistent with a typical decade-old vehicle, averaging approximately 9,200 miles per year. The record shows a steady accumulation between 2022 and 2026, where the car covered roughly 28,000 miles over four years. While the clean records from 2022 to 2024 suggest a period of good health, the recent jump in the 90,000-mile mark naturally stresses the suspension components and braking systems which are now appearing in the test results. A buyer must prioritize a thorough inspection of the front suspension geometry. The recurring mention of worn inner and outer edges on the nearside front tyre suggests an alignment issue, likely caused by the worn arm bushes identified in the 2026 test. You should also verify the remaining life of the brake pads across all axles, as the 2025 advisory already indicated they were thinning, and there is no evidence in the record that they were replaced prior to the latest test.
