2016 Ford Grand C-MAX 1.5L Diesel · SE65 AEG

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, with no defects recorded in its most recent 2025 MOT at 100,257 miles. The maintenance trend shows stability over the past four years, as all tests from 2021 to 2025 passed without recorded issues. The December 2021 failure at 59,371 miles was noted but listed as no defects, suggesting a minor procedural or technical error rather than a mechanical fault. No recurring issues or escalating problems are evident in the history, indicating consistent upkeep. The mileage progression aligns with average annual usage, accumulating approximately 10,000 miles per year since 2016. Gaps between tests range from 11 to 14 months, with the most recent MOT occurring 12 months prior to the current date. No abrupt spikes or prolonged inactivity are apparent, though the 2021 test occurred just three days after the prior record, raising questions about the interval’s validity. The absence of defects in all tests suggests the vehicle has been maintained to meet legal standards, though this does not guarantee absence of hidden wear. A buyer should verify suspension components, particularly bushes and coil springs, which can degrade over time without immediate MOT failure. Brake systems, including discs and calipers, should be inspected for corrosion or uneven wear, as these often develop gradually. Structural integrity, especially underbody rust, warrants scrutiny, as corrosion can compromise safety without triggering MOT alerts. While the record shows no immediate risks, a pre-purchase inspection is advisable to confirm the vehicle’s condition beyond documented tests.
