2015 Mercedes-Benz A-Class 1.5L Diesel · SP65 JWG

The vehicle presents as roadworthy following the most recent test on 11 December 2025 at 98,989 miles, where the tester recorded no defects. The maintenance trend is stable with no advisories or mechanical faults logged across the available history. The only anomaly is administrative rather than mechanical: the car failed on 9 December 2025 at 98,985 miles and again on 20 September 2022 at 75,994 miles, yet in both instances the DVSA record shows no defects recorded, indicating the failures stemmed from documentation or presentation issues rather than worn components. Mileage progression sits at a typical level for an 11-year-old car, averaging near 9,000 miles per year. The odometer moved from 64,199 miles at the September 2021 pass to 75,994 miles by September 2022, then climbed to 98,989 miles by December 2025. That final jump of roughly 23,000 miles across three years shows consistent use without sudden accumulation spikes. A gap exists between the September 2022 and December 2025 tests spanning over three years, so intermediate wear on consumables and suspension cannot be verified from the record. Given the clean defect history, a buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs for age-related fatigue not captured by the MOT. The twin failure entries with zero recorded defects suggest the previous owner may have presented the car without valid documentation or correct identification, a pattern worth probing with the seller. Verify service invoices to confirm routine maintenance was not skipped during the 2022 to 2025 gap. Structural integrity and exhaust emissions show no adverse flags in the official data. The absence of corrosion or binding caliper advisories is a positive sign for a 2015 unit. Treat the two non-defect failures as a paperwork irregularity, not a mechanical concern, but confirm the V5C and MOT certificate chain before purchase.
