2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4L Petrol · SV60 RVP

The Suzuki Grand Vitara currently holds no valid MOT pass, having failed the test on 17 April 2024 at 167,326 miles with no defects formally recorded by the tester. This leaves the vehicle unroadworthy as of that date and the maintenance trend cannot be classed as stable or improving; the most recent official outcome is a failure with sparse data. Given today's date of 9 July 2026, the last test sits over two years in the past, so the present condition is unverified by any recent examination. Annual mileage averages around 10,458 across the vehicle's sixteen-year life, which is typical for a 2010 SUV. The records show steady accumulation: 136,709 miles in February 2020, rising to 144,010 by February 2021, 152,122 in February 2022, 160,072 in February 2023, and 167,326 at the failed April 2024 attempt. No rapid jumps or standing gaps appear, yet the history is bare of advisories throughout, which suggests either light-touch testing or unreported wear on consumables and mechanical parts. A buyer must commission a full independent inspection before any purchase. The April 2024 failure with no listed defects points to a possible administrative or emissions-only refusal, but the tester logged nothing on suspension bushes, brake discs, coil springs, or structural corrosion. At 167,326 miles the drivetrain, steering joints, and underbody should be checked for fatigue and rust. Previous owners kept the mileage ordinary and passed five consecutive tests without flagged items, implying basic upkeep rather than neglect. The single failure breaks that run. Verify why it failed and confirm rectification, as the DVSA entry gives no clue to the fault.
