2021 Toyota Hilux Active D-4D 4WD S/C 2.4L Diesel · TS15 CAF

The vehicle presents an excellent roadworthiness profile based on a perfectly stable and clean maintenance history. The most recent inspection on 4 April 2026 at 21,674 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, mirroring the results of the two previous annual tests. This consistency suggests that the vehicle has been maintained to a high standard and shows no signs of mechanical neglect or structural degradation under the DVSA testing parameters. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a five-year-old Hilux, averaging 4,335 miles per year. Between the April 2024 test at 12,711 miles and the April 2025 test at 17,083 miles, the vehicle covered 4,372 miles, followed by another 4,591 miles leading to the latest test. This consistent, low-usage indicates light work or short-distance commuting, which typically preserves the integrity of the drivetrain, suspension, and braking components compared to high-mileage examples. Because the MOT record shows no recurring faults, a physical inspection should focus on issues associated with low-mileage vehicles that sit stationary. Check for flat spots on the tyres, perished rubber components such as suspension bushes or wiper blades, and surface corrosion on brake discs due to infrequent use. Given the 4WD configuration, verify that the transfer case and differentials are free of leaks, as low mileage can sometimes mask fluid seepage in aging seals.
