2017 BMW 220 2.0L Diesel · VN17 AXM

The 2017 BMW 220 demonstrates current roadworthiness, as the June 10 2025 MOT at 43,484 miles recorded no defects. The test showed a clean pass with no recorded faults, indicating that the vehicle meets the DVSA’s roadworthiness criteria at the time of testing. The vehicle's mileage accumulates at roughly 4,800 miles per year, well below the typical 7,500‑8,000 miles expected for a nine‑year‑old model, indicating light use or extended periods of inactivity; the annual June test dates show a steady, uninterrupted progression from 32,414 miles in June 2022 to 43,484 miles in June 2025, with no abrupt jumps or missing entries. A buyer should therefore focus on mechanical components that commonly show wear despite a clean MOT record: inspect the front and rear suspension bushes and coil springs for cracking or corrosion, examine brake discs for scoring and brake calipers for binding, verify the condition of the exhaust system for rust or leaks, and assess structural integrity of the sills and chassis for any hidden corrosion. Particular attention to tyre tread depth and wiper blade condition is also advisable, as these consumables may have been neglected during low‑usage periods.
