2020 Honda MSX 0.1L Petrol · WF70 CYG

The 2020 Honda MSX presents a stable and positive maintenance trend, confirmed by a clean pass at its most recent MOT on 18 July 2025 at 5,346 miles. The absence of any recorded defects or advisories indicates the motorcycle currently meets all required safety and roadworthiness standards without compromise. This clean bill of health suggests the machine has been kept in sound mechanical order, with no emerging or unresolved faults flagged by the tester. Examining the mileage accumulation reveals a distinctly low-usage pattern typical of a lightweight commuter or occasional-use machine. Between the October 2023 test at 4,674 miles and the July 2025 test at 5,346 miles, the motorcycle covered just 672 miles over a 21-month period. This equates to roughly 381 miles per year during that window, reinforcing the profile of a bike that likely experienced extended periods of standing rather than daily use. While the overall recorded mileage of 5,346 miles remains exceptionally low for a 2020 model, prolonged inactivity warrants a careful check of perishable components. Given the sparse MOT history and the extended intervals between tests, a prospective buyer must verify the condition of components that degrade with time rather than mileage. Standing for long periods can cause tyre sidewall cracking and perishing of rubber suspension bushes or brake hoses, even if the tread depth remains legal. The brake system deserves close scrutiny; calipers can seize and discs can surface-corrode if the machine sits unused for months. Inspect the exhaust system for internal condensation corrosion and check the battery health, as infrequent use often leads to premature failure of the charging system and starter circuits.
