2016 Fiat Ducato 2.3L Diesel · WN16 WNL

The vehicle most recently passed its MOT on 6 June 2026. The overall maintenance trend appears stable, with the vehicle consistently passing its annual inspections over the last five years. While there have been a few failures related to tyres and lighting, these are common consumable items and do not suggest systemic mechanical neglect. The most recent test highlighted a minor windscreen defect and a defective exhaust mounting, indicating that while the vehicle remains roadworthy, some minor preventative maintenance is now required to prevent further degradation. With a recorded mileage of 90,501 miles over approximately ten years, the vehicle has averaged roughly 9,050 miles per year. This is considered typical usage for a commercial vehicle of this age and type. This steady rate of accumulation suggests the engine and drivetrain have been used regularly without prolonged periods of standing, which generally helps maintain seal integrity and prevents the seizing of brake calipers. However, at this mileage, the vehicle is entering a phase where wear on suspension components and drivetrain consumables becomes more prominent. A recurring theme in the MOT history is tyre wear and damage, specifically on the nearside front, with advisories and failures appearing in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025. A prospective buyer should carefully inspect all tyre sidewalls for cuts or bulging and check for uneven wear patterns, which could indicate wheel misalignment or worn suspension bushes. During a test drive, listen for any knocks or clunks from the front end and ensure there is no pulling to one side. Additionally, the recent advisory regarding the exhaust mounting should be investigated, as a defective mounting can lead to excessive vibration, premature exhaust leaks, or structural failure of the pipework. Given the vehicle's age and the 2021 advisory for thin brake pads, it is essential to verify the current condition of the brake discs and pads, checking for scoring or uneven wear. The buyer should also request a full service history to confirm that calendar-based fluid changes, such as engine oil, coolant, and brake fluid, have been performed regardless of the annual mileage. Finally, a thorough inspection of the underside for surface corrosion is recommended, as is a check of the 12V battery health to ensure reliable starting, particularly if the vehicle has spent any time stationary between its typical duties.
