2015 Nissan X-Trail 1.6L Diesel · WV15 ACZ

The 2015 Nissan X-Trail presents a stable roadworthiness profile, with the most recent MOT on 2026-03-26 confirming no defects at 102,501 miles. The vehicle has maintained consistent compliance over the past three years, with only a single fail in 2025-03-25 at 94,795 miles—though no specific issues were recorded. This suggests either a technical anomaly or an isolated test failure, as subsequent tests from 2024-02-19 to 2026-03-26 show no recurring faults. The absence of advisories or critical defects in recent assessments indicates the vehicle has been well-maintained, though the 2025-04-02 test at 108,542 miles—showing a sharp mileage jump from 94,795 miles—warrants scrutiny for potential undetected wear. The vehicle’s mileage of 102,501 miles over 11 years aligns with average annual usage, but the 2025-04-02 test reveals an unusual 13,747-mile increase in just 10 days, which could signal either an error in recorded data or excessive short-term usage. This anomaly, combined with the lack of detailed defect reports in the 2025-03-25 fail, raises questions about the reliability of the MOT history. The absence of consumable wear indicators—such as tyre tread or brake pad measurements—further complicates the assessment, as these are typically flagged in MOTs. A buyer should prioritize a hands-on inspection of the suspension components, particularly the rear coil springs and bushings, given the vehicle’s age and high mileage. The exhaust system and structural integrity should also be checked for corrosion, as these are common issues in older models. While the MOT records show no immediate risks, the irregular mileage progression and incomplete defect documentation suggest the need for a professional evaluation to confirm the vehicle’s mechanical soundness beyond the test results.
