2016 Ford Transit 2.0L Diesel · WV66 AYL

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, having passed its most recent MOT in September 2025 at 73,955 miles. The maintenance trend shows a shift from clean records in the early years to recurring issues with wear-related components. While the most recent test identified only a minor windscreen chip, the history indicates a pattern of reactive maintenance rather than proactive replacement of consumables, particularly regarding the tyres and braking system. The mileage pattern is consistent with a ten-year-old commercial vehicle averaging approximately 7,400 miles per year. The record shows steady annual usage, such as the 8,771 miles driven between the 2024 and 2025 tests. This consistent interval suggests the vehicle has not sat for long periods, which generally helps prevent the degradation of rubber components. However, the low mileage relative to the age explains the appearance of perished de-laminated front tyres as noted in the 2022 test. A buyer must inspect the suspension geometry and wheel alignment due to repeated tyre wear issues. Between 2022 and 2023, the tester flagged bald front tyres and rear tyres worn uneven on the inner and outer edges, which points to misalignment, worn suspension bushes, or faulty tracking arms. The braking system also requires a physical check, as the 2020 record noted thin front pads, and the buyer should verify the current thickness of the discs and pads to ensure they have been replaced since that advisory.
