2012 Skoda Roomster 1.2L Petrol · YB12 KVM

The vehicle has a current roadworthiness status of Pass, but the maintenance trend appears to be improving rather than worsening, as evidenced by the progression from a 2025 test at 56,619 miles to a 2023 test at 47,778 miles. This suggests that basic upkeep habits have been maintained or improved over the past three years, though the most recent inspection was taken at a significantly higher mileage point than the previous one. The mileage pattern indicates that the car has experienced rapid accumulation of wear across the drivetrain and suspension components, particularly in the rear and front suspension systems. While the 2025 test at 56,619 miles was passed, the 2023 test at 47,778 miles shows a gap of approximately 8,800 miles between the two most recent tests, which is consistent with a period of moderate use or longer standing without significant consumption. The data is relatively clean, with no evidence of sudden, catastrophic failures at any single test date. Given the specific faults flagged in the MOT records, such as binding rear brakes, worn suspension bushes, and thin brake pads, a buyer must inspect the vehicle personally to address these mechanical risks. The binding condition of the rear brakes and the wear on suspension bushes suggest that the suspension is not in a fully repaired state, which could lead to handling issues if the car is driven frequently. The thin brake pads indicate that the braking system is still vulnerable and requires regular replacement. While the overall roadworthiness is Pass, the history of these specific faults means that the vehicle is not fully compliant with the UK roadworthiness standards and requires careful inspection to ensure safety.
