2018 Audi A1 1.4L Petrol · YX18 KFA

The Audi A1 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 2 January 2026 at 66,699 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the preceding annual tests show the same clean outcome. No advisories or mechanical faults appear anywhere in the five-year DVSA history, so the vehicle shows no worsening or recurring defect pattern. Recorded mileage sits at typical levels for an eight-year-old car, averaging roughly 8,337 miles per year. The tests chart steady use: 43,109 miles on 7 March 2023, 51,667 on 7 February 2024, 57,943 on 4 February 2025, and 66,699 on 2 January 2026. The gap between the 2025 and 2026 tests covered about 8,756 miles, close to the long-term average. One anomaly stands out: on 4 February 2025 the car failed and passed on the same day at identical mileage with no defects listed, which points to an administrative or data-entry error at the testing station rather than a mechanical fault. With no advisories for suspension bushes, brake discs, coil springs, corrosion, or exhaust emissions across the record, previous owners appear to have kept basic upkeep current. A clean sheet over five tests suggests the drivetrain and structure have not thrown up wear-related warnings. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection despite the spotless MOT trail. Check underside structural integrity for hidden rust, confirm brake caliper operation is free, and verify tyre sidewall condition beyond the tread depth the tester measured. The same-day fail-pass in February 2025 warrants a glance at the V5C and test station notes to rule out any omitted defect.
