2008 MINI 1.6L Petrol · 74 DC

The 2008 MINI MINI presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 24 March 2026 at 34,662 miles passed with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken five-year run of clean MOT passes from 2022 through 2026. Recorded mileage sits at 34,662 against an 18-year lifespan, equating to roughly 1,926 miles per year. The DVSA data shows minimal annual accumulation: 32,128 miles in March 2022, 33,345 in March 2023, 34,315 in March 2024, 34,624 in March 2025, and 34,662 in March 2026. The car added only 38 miles between the 2025 and 2026 tests. Such low, consistent figures point to light use or extended standing periods rather than neglect through high wear. No advisories or failures appear across the entire history, so the record gives no signal of recurring suspension bushes, brake disc wear, exhaust corrosion, or structural integrity issues. A clean sheet over five years suggests the previous keeper kept basic upkeep current. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection beneath the car. Long idle spells invite seized calipers, flat-spotted tyres, and hidden subframe corrosion despite a fault-free MOT. Verify fluid condition, brake binding after a road test, and check the chassis for moisture-related rust the annual test may not have flagged.
