2021 Honda Civic SR Vtec 1.0L Petrol · DC21 AHL

This Honda Civic SR-VTEC has demonstrated a stable roadworthiness record over the past two MOT cycles, both passing without defects. The most recent test on 11 June 2025, at 47,052 miles, confirmed no issues, indicating the vehicle has met all current UK safety and emissions standards. There are no advisories or recurring faults to suggest underlying mechanical neglect, though the absence of defects does not preclude hidden wear—particularly in high-stress components like suspension bushes or brake calipers, which may degrade without immediate MOT consequences. The mileage progression shows consistent usage without abrupt spikes or prolonged inactivity. From 32,900 miles in June 2024 to 47,052 miles in June 2025—a 14,152-mile increase over 12 months—suggests typical light-to-moderate daily driving. There are no red flags in the interval between tests, though the gap between the 2025 and 2026 tests (just over a year) means some components may now approach their expected serviceable limits. The recorded mileage of 47,052 miles aligns with the vehicle’s age, ruling out extreme underuse or prolonged storage that could mask corrosion or fluid degradation. A buyer should prioritise a thorough inspection of suspension components, particularly the rear coil springs and bushes, as these are common wear points on this model. The lack of MOT advisories does not guarantee their condition, and binding or uneven suspension movement could indicate impending failure. Front and rear brake discs and calipers should be checked for uneven wear or corrosion, especially if the vehicle has been driven in wet conditions. Tyres, though not flagged in MOTs, may require assessment for uneven tread wear or embedded debris, given the mileage. Finally, verify fluid levels (brake, coolant, power steering) and inspect for leaks around the engine bay and subframe, as these often develop between MOT intervals.
