2017 Ford Transit 2.0L Diesel · AD17 BCF

The 2017 Ford Transit presents a stable maintenance trend, culminating in a clean pass at its most recent examination on 19 February 2026 at 105,825 miles. The absence of any recorded defects in the current MOT indicates the vehicle meets the required structural and mechanical standards. While the record shows a failed test on 20 February 2025 at 100,169 miles, the immediate retest on the same day passed with zero defects, suggesting the initial failure was likely an administrative anomaly or an aborted test rather than a mechanical fault. The maintenance trajectory remains stable, with no recurring issues documented across the recorded history. The recorded mileage of 105,825 miles equates to an annual average of roughly 11,758 miles, a typical figure for a nine-year-old commercial vehicle. The mileage accumulation shows a consistent pattern, progressing from 94,285 miles in June 2024 to 100,169 miles in February 2025, and finally reaching 105,825 miles in February 2026. This steady increase of approximately 5,000 to 6,000 miles per year indicates regular use without prolonged periods of standing or sudden, excessive mileage spikes that might accelerate drivetrain wear. Because the official record contains zero advisories or defect flags, a buyer cannot rely on the MOT data to highlight specific recurring mechanical failures. A physical inspection must therefore focus on the typical wear points for a commercial van of this age and mileage. Inspect the suspension bushes and coil springs for deterioration, and check the brake discs and calipers for scoring or binding, as these components endure heavy use in a Transit. Examine the chassis and load floor for corrosion or structural compromise, particularly around the wheel arches and sills, since the MOT record does not preclude the onset of rust since the last test six months ago.
