2017 Toyota Yaris 1.3L Petrol · AF17 WLV

The 2017 Toyota Yaris presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 5 August 2025 at 50,987 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken sequence of clean MOT outcomes since at least January 2022. The mileage pattern shows light use for a nine-year-old vehicle. The record opened at 22,770 miles on 26 January 2022 and climbed to 50,987 miles by the August 2025 test, averaging roughly 5,665 miles per year. The largest single jump came between 7 January 2023 (30,866 miles) and 13 January 2024 (40,583 miles), adding near 9,700 miles in twelve months, yet no advisories or faults followed. The DVSA data is sparse on detail, with five passes and zero advisories across the visible history, which limits insight into wear on consumables or hidden corrosion. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection despite the clean record. Low annual mileage combined with the 2023 to 2024 usage spike can allow brake calipers to seize or suspension bushes to perish through standing, even when the tester logs no fault. Examine the underbody for structural rust, check brake discs for lip and pitting, and confirm the coil springs are free of fracture. Given the absence of any recorded advisories on tyres, wipers, or exhaust emissions, prior keepers appear to have maintained the car to a basic standard. Verify service history matches the low mileage and inspect for intermittent faults the annual test cannot capture.
