2014 Honda Jazz 1.3L Petrol · BU14 AAZ

The 2014 Honda Jazz demonstrates stable roadworthiness, with all six MOT tests from 2022 to 2026 passing without defects. The most recent January 2026 test at 67,237 miles confirmed no issues, aligning with the consistent pattern of prior results. No recurring faults or structural concerns were flagged across the five-year history, suggesting the vehicle has been maintained to a satisfactory standard. The absence of advisories or failures indicates the car meets legal requirements, though this does not guarantee mechanical longevity beyond compliance. The mileage of 67,237 miles at 12 years old equates to an average of 5,603 miles annually, significantly below the UK’s typical annual average of 7,500–8,000 miles. This low usage is reflected in the steady, incremental mileage increases between MOT tests, with no abrupt spikes. The 2022–2026 tests show a regular 4,000–5,000-mile progression, suggesting the vehicle has been driven infrequently or stored for extended periods. While this may reduce wear on components like tyres and brakes, it could also lead to issues with static components, such as corrosion or degraded seals, requiring closer inspection. A buyer should prioritise checking suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake calipers for wear, as these can degrade without frequent use. The absence of exhaust or corrosion advisories is positive, but visual checks for rust on the chassis or underbody are recommended, particularly in areas prone to moisture. Additionally, the low mileage may mean the battery, belts, and fluids have not been replaced as per manufacturer guidelines, warranting a detailed pre-purchase inspection to confirm their condition. The MOT history confirms compliance but does not replace a hands-on assessment of the vehicle’s mechanical state.
