2002 Ford Focus 1.6L Petrol · CX02 UUJ

The 2002 Ford Focus presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 12 December 2025 at 91,099 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken run of clean results across the prior three years. Recorded mileage stands at 91,099 against an age of roughly 24 years, equating to about 3,796 miles per year. The December 2024 test at 86,281 miles and the December 2023 test at 82,669 miles show gentle annual use of three to four thousand miles. The only anomaly is the December 2022 sequence: a failure on 15 December at 80,104 miles with no defects listed, followed by a pass two days later on 17 December at the same mileage, suggesting an administrative or procedural rejection rather than a mechanical fault. The clean advisory history across all passing tests indicates the previous keeper addressed consumables and structural items before each examination. No recurring faults appear for suspension bushes, brake discs, coil springs, or corrosion, and the absence of advisories implies the tester found no borderline wear. Low mileage combined with standing periods can still permit underbody rust or perished rubber, so a buyer should physically inspect subframes, sills, and suspension mounts for hidden corrosion. Given the sparse but clean record, a pre-purchase check should confirm the exhaust emissions and brake balance match the test outcomes. The two-day 2022 fail with zero defects warrants a DVSA certificate check to rule out a data entry error. Otherwise the vehicle shows no worsening pattern and reflects disciplined upkeep for its age.
