2005 Toyota Yaris 1.0L Petrol · FA05 EWE

The 2005 Toyota Yaris presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 18 November 2025 at 68,090 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the prior annual tests show the same clean outcome. The vehicle exhibits no worsening mechanical faults across the available history. Recorded mileage stands at 68,090 against an age of roughly 21 years, equating to about 3,242 miles per year. The DVSA entries show light and consistent use: 65,887 miles in September 2022, 66,708 in November 2023, 67,348 in November 2024, and 68,090 in November 2025. A one-day fail on 28 November 2024 at 67,341 miles preceded the pass next day at 67,348 miles with no defects listed, suggesting an administrative or minor pre-check rejection rather than a substantive fault. The sparse, clean record gives little evidence of neglected consumables or deferred repairs. Low annual mileage and a clean MOT lineage imply careful, infrequent use, though long standing periods can allow corrosion or perished rubber to develop unseen. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs and calipers for binding or seizing after storage. Structural integrity and exhaust emissions carry no advisories in the record, yet underside rust and tired tyres from age rather than wear remain plausible on a 2005 shell. Verify the bodywork and brake hose condition before purchase.
