2017 Fiat Ducato 2.3L Diesel · FJ17 ACV

This 2017 Fiat Ducato has demonstrated consistent roadworthiness through five consecutive MOT tests, with the most recent inspection on 2 March 2026 at 28,826 miles passing without any defects or advisories. The absence of recurring issues across all tests suggests the vehicle has been maintained at a baseline standard, though the lack of advisories or minor faults means no proactive wear patterns have been formally recorded. The most recent test aligns with current DVSA standards, but the 2026 MOT is now just four months old, meaning the vehicle has not yet reached the next test cycle. This provides a brief window of confidence in its current condition, though a full pre-purchase inspection remains essential to verify hidden wear. The recorded mileage of 28,826 miles over nine years—approximately 3,200 miles annually—indicates unusually light usage for a commercial vehicle of this age. The gaps between tests are regular, with roughly 3,600 miles accumulated between each MOT, which is well within the average annual range for a vehicle of this type. There are no abrupt spikes or prolonged periods of inactivity, though the low mileage could imply extended periods of storage or limited operational use. This pattern may correlate with reduced wear on high-mileage components like suspension bushes, drivetrain seals, or brake calipers, but it also raises questions about the vehicle’s storage conditions, particularly regarding corrosion or fluid degradation. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an inspection of suspension components, including coil springs, bushes, and dampers, as these are often overlooked in low-mileage vehicles but can degrade over time due to age or environmental exposure. The brakes, while not flagged in past tests, should be scrutinised for uneven wear, binding calipers, or corrosion on the rear discs—common issues in vehicles with variable usage patterns. Structural integrity, particularly around wheel arches, sills, and the underbody, must be checked for corrosion, as prolonged periods of disuse can accelerate rust formation. Finally, fluid levels and condition in the engine bay, transmission, and differential should be verified, as stagnant fluids can lead to premature failure in components that may otherwise appear serviceable.
