A recurring pattern of uneven tyre wear on the rear axle defines the mechanical profile of this vehicle, with advisories for inner edge wear appearing consistently from 2022 through to the most recent pass on 1 November 2025. This persistent issue suggests a long-term alignment or suspension geometry problem rather than a one-off occurrence. While the vehicle has maintained a continuous pass record since 2018, the repeated mention of both rear tyres wearing unevenly on their inner edges indicates a chronic condition that has remained unresolved across multiple annual inspections. The recorded mileage of 71,302 miles over approximately thirteen years represents an average annual usage of roughly 5,485 miles, which is significantly lower than the UK national average. This low-mileage profile suggests the vehicle has been subject to light usage or potentially long periods of inactivity. While lower mileage generally implies less wear on high-frequency components like the engine and gearbox, it can also mean that certain rubber components, such as the nearside front tyre noted as perishing in 2020, may be subject to age-related degradation rather than tread-depth depletion. A prospective buyer should focus heavily on the rear suspension and steering geometry during a test drive to address the documented tyre wear issues. The consistent inner-edge wear on the rear tyres often points to incorrect camber angles or worn suspension bushes and links. During the test drive, listen for any knocking or clunking sounds when traversing uneven surfaces or speed bumps, which could indicate play in the rear axle components. Additionally, check for any pulling to one side or instability at motorway speeds, as these symptoms often accompany the alignment issues flagged in the MOT history. The brake system history shows that front and rear pads were flagged as low in 2020, though no subsequent brake-related advisories have been recorded. It is necessary to verify the current thickness of both front and rear brake pads and inspect the condition of the brake discs for scoring or uneven wear. Given the low annual mileage, it is also prudent to inspect the vehicle for any signs of fluid leaks or seized calipers that can occur when a vehicle is driven infrequently. Ensure that the tyres currently fitted have sufficient tread depth and that the uneven wear pattern has not returned since the 2025 inspection.
