2017 Nissan Micra 1.2L Petrol · GU17 AOC

The 2017 Nissan Micra presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 27 February 2026 at 31,600 miles passed with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken run of five consecutive annual passes. No advisories or mechanical faults appear anywhere in the DVSA history, indicating the vehicle has been maintained to a standard that clears the MOT threshold each year without recurring issues. The mileage pattern shows consistently low use for a nine-year-old vehicle. From the 11 March 2022 test at 13,243 miles, the car accumulated just 4,541 miles to the 8 March 2023 test at 17,784 miles. Annual increments stayed modest: 4,965 miles to March 2024 (22,749), 4,230 to February 2025 (26,979), and 4,621 to February 2026 (31,600). The average of roughly 3,511 miles per year suggests extended standing periods are likely, though the clean record gives no evidence of neglect in the formal test data. A buyer should still inspect in person for issues the MOT does not capture. Low mileage combined with long idle spells can allow corrosion to develop on brake discs, suspension bushes, and underbody structures without triggering a failure. The tester recorded no structural rust or binding calipers, but standing vehicles often hide perished rubber components and flat-spotted tyres. Given the absence of any advisories across five tests, serious mechanical or structural risks are not indicated by the record. The previous owner appears to have kept basic upkeep current. A pre-purchase inspection should nonetheless confirm brake disc condition, suspension articulation, and exhaust integrity given the likelihood of intermittent use.
