2004 Vauxhall Zafira 1.8L Petrol · GY54 AOL

The vehicle maintains a high level of roadworthiness, evidenced by a clean record across the last five annual tests. The most recent inspection in January 2026 at 73,300 miles resulted in no defects, continuing a stable trend of passes dating back to 2022. This consistency suggests that the vehicle has been well-maintained and has not suffered from recurring mechanical or structural failures typically seen in cars of this age. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 22-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,332 miles per year. Between January 2022 and January 2026, the car covered only 4,726 miles, showing a consistent and slow usage rate of roughly 1,180 miles per annual interval. While this low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine internal components, long periods of inactivity can sometimes lead to the degradation of rubber-based parts or fluid-related issues not captured by a standard MOT. Despite the lack of recorded faults, a buyer must conduct a physical inspection focused on age-related decay rather than wear-and-tear. Priority should be given to checking the structural integrity of the sills and rear arches, as corrosion on this model often develops over time regardless of mileage. The buyer should also inspect the suspension bushes and tyre sidewalls for cracking, as these components become brittle after two decades of sitting. Checking the brake discs for pitting or seized calipers is also advisable, as low-frequency use often allows surface rust on the braking system.
