1993 Kawasaki ZR750-C2 0.7L Petrol · K26 PMW

This Kawasaki ZR750-C2 presents a stable and clean MOT history, with the most recent test on 2 June 2025 at 11,532 miles showing no defects or advisories. The consistency across five consecutive annual tests—from 15 April 2021 to 2 June 2025 —demonstrates a well-maintained mechanical condition, with no signs of recurring issues or deteriorating components. The absence of even minor advisories suggests either meticulous upkeep or, more likely, very limited use, as the bike’s age and mileage are disproportionate. Such a record is rare for a vehicle of this vintage, particularly given the typical wear patterns associated with 33-year-old machinery. The mileage progression is striking: just 833 miles added over four years, averaging a mere 208 miles annually . This suggests either storage for extended periods or extremely light use, with the bike covering less than 350 miles per year —far below the national average for a motorcycle of this age. The gap between tests is also uniform, with each MOT falling within a month of the previous year’s date, reinforcing the impression of a vehicle kept in near-pristine condition rather than actively ridden. There are no red flags in the mileage data; instead, the low accumulation raises questions about whether the bike has been properly exercised to prevent issues like seized bearings, degraded seals, or stiff suspension components. Given the lack of recorded defects, a buyer should still verify critical areas in person, particularly those prone to hidden wear in low-mileage but aged machines. Inspect the suspension bushes and coil springs for dryness or cracking, as prolonged storage can accelerate rubber degradation even without high mileage. Check the brake system —specifically the calipers, discs, and hydraulic lines —for corrosion or fluid degradation, as older fluid can compromise braking efficiency over time. The exhaust system should be examined for rust or loose mounts, and the chain and sprockets assessed for dryness, as these components can deteriorate even with minimal use. Finally, verify the structural integrity of the frame and subframe , as corrosion or stress cracks may not have been caught in a basic MOT but could pose long-term risks. While the MOT history is flawless, the bike’s age and unusually low mileage demand closer scrutiny of components that degrade with time rather than distance. The absence of advisories is a strong indicator of careful ownership, but the buyer should treat this as an opportunity to confirm that no latent issues have developed due to infrequent use. A pre-purchase inspection by a specialist mechanic would be prudent to validate the bike’s condition beyond the MOT’s scope.
