2015 Vauxhall Meriva 1.4L Petrol · KY65 AEV

This Vauxhall Meriva is in a stable condition regarding its roadworthiness. The most recent MOT on 18 July 2025 at 34,789 miles resulted in a clean pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of clean passes dating back to July 2022, suggesting the vehicle has been maintained to a standard that meets minimum legal requirements without recurring mechanical failures. The mileage is exceptionally low for an eleven year old vehicle, averaging roughly 3,163 miles per year. There is a significant data anomaly in the July 2024 record where a failed test was logged at 53,657 miles, followed immediately by a pass at 33,343 miles on the same day. This discrepancy likely stems from a clerical recording error by the tester rather than a genuine mileage reversal. Excluding this error, the mileage progression from 30,394 miles in July 2022 to 34,789 miles in July 2025 is linear and consistent. Low mileage vehicles often suffer from degradation due to inactivity rather than wear. A buyer should specifically inspect the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting and check for binding calipers, as brakes can seize when a car sits for long periods. The tyres should be checked for perishing or flat spots, even if the tread depth remains legal. Given the lack of advisories regarding suspension bushes or structural corrosion in the MOT history, the chassis appears sound. However, the low annual usage suggests the engine may not have been run at temperature frequently. A physical inspection should focus on fluid condition and the presence of any perished rubber seals or hoses that typically degrade with age regardless of mileage.
