2013 Suzuki SV 650 SL2 0.6L Petrol · LC62 AAY

The Suzuki SV 650 holds a clean roadworthiness status based on its most recent test on 29 October 2022 at 28,950 miles, where it passed with zero defects recorded. Because the record contains only a single data point, evaluating a historical maintenance trend is not possible. The absence of prior test data means the long-term mechanical trajectory remains unverified by historical DVSA records. At roughly thirteen years of age with under 29,000 miles on the clock, the machine exhibits a low annual mileage accumulation averaging approximately 2,227 miles per year. This sparse utilization rate points toward lighter recreational use or potentially prolonged periods of storage between seasons. Extended periods of standing frequently introduce specific mechanical concerns such as stale fuel varnishing the fuel system, internal corrosion within the engine and exhaust, and flat spots developing on tyres. Given the substantial time gap since the October 2022 test, physical inspection must focus on components vulnerable to age and inactivity. Check the rubber fork seals for perishing and weeping oil, inspect the brake discs for pitting or corrosion on the friction surfaces, and verify that the brake calipers are not binding. Examine the chain and sprockets for surface rust or stiff links, and check the DOT date codes on the tyres to ensure the rubber compounds have not hardened beyond safe operating limits.
