2011 Saab 9-3 2.0L Petrol · LD11 XRS

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status with a clean inspection history following an early mechanical failure. The most recent test conducted in July 2022 at 46,963 miles passed with no defects or advisories recorded, indicating the car was in good mechanical order at that time. However, as four years have elapsed since that last test, the vehicle is currently MOT expired and requires an immediate inspection to verify its current condition. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a fifteen-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,100 miles per year. The data shows a significant drop in usage between 2020 and 2022, where the car covered only 878 miles in two years. Between June 2018 and June 2020, the vehicle covered 7,654 miles. While this low mileage suggests minimal wear on the drivetrain and engine, it increases the risk of degradation in rubber-based components and fluid breakdown due to sitting stationary for extended periods. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components sensitive to low usage. The 2018 failure at 31,417 miles highlighted a compromised nearside front anti-roll bar linkage and a structurally damaged tyre. While these were clearly rectified, the age of the vehicle suggests suspension bushes may be perishing or cracking. Given the long intervals of low mileage, the brake discs should be checked for surface corrosion or seized calipers, as infrequent use often leads to rust pitting that regular driving cannot clear away.
