2006 Audi A3 2.0L Diesel · MV56 AEO

The vehicle achieved a clean pass on 2025‑10‑23 at 145,356 miles with no recorded defects, indicating current roadworthiness. The preceding history shows two failures in late 2023 and early 2024, both at similar mileages, but each was followed by an immediate retest that passed. This pattern suggests the issues were identified and rectified, leaving the car in a stable condition with no ongoing deterioration. Mileage accumulation from 124,955 miles in November 2023 to 145,356 miles in October 2025 represents roughly 20,401 miles over 20 months, averaging about 10,200 miles per year—higher than the typical 7,268 miles expected for a 20‑year‑old Audi A3. The MOT schedule shows tests spaced roughly annually, with only a one‑day gap between the 2024‑11‑06 failure and its 2024‑11‑07 pass, indicating regular but not overly frequent servicing. The data set is complete for the final two years, providing a clear view of usage intensity. For a buyer, the priority inspections should centre on the systems that previously caused failures. The brakes should be examined for caliper binding, disc thickness, and pad wear; suspension bushes and coil springs need visual and ride‑height checks for corrosion or wear; the exhaust and under‑body panels should be assessed for rust, especially given the high mileage; tyre tread depth and alignment are critical due to the elevated annual mileage; finally, a thorough panel scan for structural corrosion will confirm whether the car’s age has introduced any hidden rust pockets.
