2011 Ford Transit 2.4L Diesel · NV11 AWO

The vehicle remains roadworthy, but the maintenance trend shows a shift toward structural degradation and component wear. While the most recent test in November 2025 at 144,416 miles passed, the tester identified corrosion on the nearside and offside rear suspension mountings and the offside front outer integral body structure. Although these issues did not meet the threshold for a failure, the presence of rust on the chassis rails and sills indicates an ongoing process of oxidation that requires close monitoring. The mileage pattern is consistent with a fifteen-year-old commercial vehicle, averaging approximately 9,600 miles per year. Between November 2021 and November 2025, the vehicle covered 21,691 miles, representing a steady usage of roughly 5,400 miles annually during that period. This suggests the van is used regularly rather than sitting for long periods, which generally helps prevent internal components from seizing, though it contributes to the inevitable mechanical wear seen in the 2023 and 2025 tests. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection of the chassis and bodywork to ensure the corrosion noted in the 2025 test has not progressed into structural failure. The 2023 record highlighted significant wear across the brake system, including pitted and scored discs and thin pads on all wheels, alongside wear in the rear leaf spring shackle and anchor bushes. The buyer should verify if these brakes were actually replaced since that test and check the rear suspension for play or further degradation in the bushings, which can affect handling and vehicle stability.
