2002 Land Rover Discovery 2.5L Diesel · OY52 AOZ

The vehicle appears to be in a stable condition based on the most recent inspection, following a brief period of non-compliance. The March 2023 test at 160,783 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded, which successfully resolved the failure noted just eight days prior on February 28, 2023. This indicates that the issues identified during the failed test were addressed immediately, suggesting a proactive approach to maintaining roadworthiness. The mileage profile is consistent with a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 6,699 miles per year over its 24-year lifespan. The recorded data shows very little movement between the failed test in February 2023 and the successful test in March 2023, with only 3 miles recorded. This suggests the vehicle was likely undergoing minor repairs or was stationary during that specific window. Beyond this recent activity, the record provides limited data to establish a long-term mileage trend. A physical inspection is necessary to verify the integrity of the chassis and subframes, as older Land Rovers are prone to structural corrosion that may not always be captured in brief MOT summaries. Given the age and typical usage for this model, the buyer should specifically examine the condition of the suspension bushes, coil springs, and drive shafts. While the recent MOT history is clean, the lack of recent testing data since March 2023 means the current state of consumables like brake pads, discs, and tyre tread depth remains unverified.
