2015 Citroen Berlingo 1.6L Diesel · PY65 CVA

The Citroen Berlingo presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 15 August 2025 at 153,275 miles passed with no defects recorded, and the two prior passes in September 2024 and June 2023 also carried clean sheets. The single failure logged on 9 September 2024 at 152,169 miles is anomalous, as the record shows no defects cited and the same-day retest passed, indicating an administrative or presentation error at the testing station rather than a mechanical fault. The mileage pattern reflects above-average use for an eleven-year-old van. It covered 134,209 miles by July 2022, rose to 144,146 by June 2023, then 152,169 by September 2024, reaching 153,275 by August 2025. Annual accumulation sits near 13,900 miles, with a marked slowdown in the final year where only 1,106 miles were added. Such high total distance points to sustained commercial or delivery duty, though the recent low usage may mean prolonged standing periods that can encourage corrosion or flat-spotted tyres. Given the absence of advisories across five years of testing, no recurring suspension, brake, or structural defects are evident in the record. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of coil springs, suspension bushes, brake discs and calipers, given the high lifetime mileage. The clean MOT history suggests previous owners kept basic statutory compliance current, but the unexplained 2024 failure warrants a check of the full DVSA test certificate to confirm no suppressed defect data. Structural integrity and exhaust emissions show no flagged concerns in the supplied entries. With the vehicle now near fourteen months past its last test, the buyer must confirm a fresh MOT before road use, as the August 2025 certificate will expire before any 2026 sale completes.
