A consistent history of roadworthiness defines this motorcycle, which has maintained a clean record across six tests over two decades, most recently passing on 15 July 2026. While the overall trend indicates a stable mechanical state, the latest inspection introduced the first advisory in the vehicle's recorded history regarding a worn drive chain. The recorded mileage of 11,623 miles is exceptionally low for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 401 miles per year. Of particular note is the seven year gap in MOT records between February 2019 and July 2026. Such a prolonged period of inactivity shifts the mechanical risk from component fatigue associated with high mileage to the effects of long-term standing. Attention should be directed toward the final drive system during a physical inspection. The advisory for a worn drive chain suggests the need to check for stretched links or uneven wear on the sprockets. During a test ride, listen for any abnormal clicking or grinding noises from the chain and feel for any surging or vibration through the footpegs, which can indicate stiff links or a chain nearing the end of its service life. Given the significant hiatus in testing, a thorough check of the braking system and control cables is necessary. Ensure the brake pedal and lever feel firm and that there is no binding in the calipers. Check for any stiffness in the clutch and throttle cables to ensure smooth operation, as these components are susceptible to internal corrosion when a vehicle remains stationary for extended periods.
