2015 Ducati 1299 1.3L Petrol · SF65 YBP

The vehicle maintains a high standard of roadworthiness with a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test on 21 May 2026 at 20,051 miles passed with no defects recorded, continuing a trend of perfect results over the last five years. This stability suggests that the motorcycle has been well-maintained and does not suffer from recurring mechanical or structural failures that typically trigger advis. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for an eleven-year-old superbike, averaging approximately 1,823 miles per year. Between March 2022 at 10,544 miles and March 2023 at 11,215 miles, the bike covered only 671 miles, indicating periods of infrequent use. The more recent jump of 2,912 miles between April 2024 and May 2026 shows more active usage. While low mileage reduces wear on the engine drivetrain and braking components, it increases the risk of age-related degradation rather than mileage-based wear. Despite the clean MOT record, a buyer must physically inspect components susceptible to degradation during long periods of standing. Focus attention on perished rubber elements, checking for cracking in fork seals, brake hoses, and tyre sidewalls. Brake discs should be inspected for surface corrosion or pitting, as low use often allows oxidation to form on rotors. Additionally, verify the chain and sprocket condition for stretch and dry spots, as stationary bikes often suffer more from fluid-related link issues than those subjected to regular riding.
