2016 Hyundai Santa FE 2.2L Diesel · WH16 LJX

The vehicle currently fails the roadworthiness test, as the most recent MOT entry of 56,933 miles was recorded on 2025-07-11 and has not been passed since. This indicates a significant lapse in maintenance history, with no defects found in the September 2023 test at 46,157 miles, suggesting that basic upkeep was skipped during the 2022-2023 period. The failure of the most recent test confirms that the vehicle is not roadworthy and requires urgent inspection. The mileage pattern reveals a notable gap between the 2021-2022 period and the current date, with the vehicle only having 38,518 miles recorded on 2021-06-15. This sparse data suggests that the owner may have driven the car for extended periods without any recorded maintenance, leading to the accumulation of wear on consumables and potential structural issues. The lack of a MOT record from 2021-06-15 is a critical finding, as it implies that the vehicle was likely left unattended or driven too long without a formal inspection, increasing the risk of hidden defects. Given the history, the buyer should inspect the vehicle for structural integrity, particularly focusing on suspension components and brake discs. The 2022-08-05 MOT at 42,184 miles showed no defects, but the 2021-06-15 record indicates that the suspension and braking systems were not checked during the 2021-2022 period. The buyer must verify whether the suspension bushings, coil springs, or brake binding calipers are in good condition, as any wear in these areas could lead to a failure of the vehicle's handling and safety.
