The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2025‑10‑07 recorded a PASS at 27 866 miles, but the test is now nine months overdue, rendering the car not roadworthy for current use. The inspection noted a slightly tight drive chain, rear‑brake effort fluctuation and minor wheel‑alignment misalignment—advisories that are consistent with earlier findings rather than a worsening condition. The pattern of faults shows stability; recurring rear‑brake fluctuation and tyre‑valve‑stem damage have persisted without escalation, indicating basic upkeep has been maintained but some components receive only minimal attention. Mileage accumulation over the vehicle’s 14‑year life averages roughly 1 990 miles per year, a low figure that suggests light use or extended periods of inactivity. The recorded mileage steps—e.g., from 26 180 miles in July 2023 to 26 784 miles in October 2024 (≈ 604 miles in 15 months)—demonstrate modest annual growth, and the absence of an MOT entry for 2021 introduces a data gap. Overall, the low mileage aligns with the modest wear observed in the service record. A prospective buyer should inspect the drive‑chain tension, rear‑brake performance for fluctuation, and wheel‑alignment condition, as these have been repeatedly flagged. Checking the rear tyre valve stems for damage, brake‑pad wear limits, and the nearside rear suspension bush for free play is also warranted given historic advisories. Additionally, examining the brake lever for bending and looking for any signs of corrosion or rust on the chassis will provide a clearer picture of the mechanical state beyond the MOT entries.
