2013 Honda CR-V 2.2L Diesel · YB62 TZR

The vehicle most recently passed its MOT on 20 March 2026. While the overall maintenance trend appears stable in terms of achieving passes, there is a noticeable decline in the condition of the braking system. The history shows a progression from general disc wear in 2025 to more significant pitting and scoring of the front discs and critically thin pads on the offside rear by the latest inspection. This suggests a reactive rather than proactive approach to consumable replacement in recent years. With a recorded mileage of 95,622 miles over thirteen years, the vehicle has averaged approximately 7,356 miles per annum. This usage rate is typical for a family SUV of this vintage and suggests a consistent pattern of use rather than periods of prolonged standing or excessive motorway accumulation. Mechanically, this mileage indicates that the vehicle is entering a phase where major wear-and-tear components, such as suspension bushings and drivetrain mounts, will require close scrutiny as they reach the end of their primary service life. Prospective buyers should prioritise a thorough evaluation of the braking system. The presence of pitted and scored front discs often manifests as a shudder or pulsation through the brake pedal during deceleration. Given the offside rear brake pads are recorded at 2mm, a metallic grinding or squealing sound may be audible during braking. It is highly probable that a full set of discs and pads will be required shortly to ensure safety and performance. Additionally, the recurring failure of the high-level stop lamp and the previously noted seized rear wiper arm indicate a lack of attention to minor electrical and auxiliary components which should be verified during the physical inspection. Attention must also be paid to the rear axle alignment and tyre condition. Previous records indicate uneven wear on the inner edges of the rear tyres, which is a classic symptom of incorrect wheel alignment or perished rear suspension bushes. During the test drive, listen for any clunks or knocks over uneven surfaces and inspect the current tyre sidewalls for perishing or cracking. Finally, ensure the service history confirms regular oil and fluid changes, as calendar-based degradation can affect engine longevity even when annual mileage remains moderate.
