2007 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Petrol · YE57 FSJ

The vehicle's recent MOT history shows a pattern of immediate retests following failures, though the specific mechanical causes for these failures were not recorded in the provided data. The most recent test on 9 February 2026 resulted in a failure followed by a pass on the same day. This trend of failing and then passing within a very short window suggests that minor defects were identified and rectified quickly to secure a pass. While the most recent result is a pass with no defects, the recurring need for retests in January 2025 and February 2026 indicates that the vehicle is not consistently meeting minimum standards on the first attempt. The recorded mileage of 149,231 miles is consistent with the vehicle's age, averaging approximately 7,854 miles per year since 2007. There are no significant gaps in the testing frequency, with annual tests recorded in January 2024, January 2025, and February 2026. The mileage accumulation appears steady, which typically implies regular road use rather than long periods of inactivity. Because the MOT records do not specify the exact nature of the failures in 2025 and 2026, a physical inspection is necessary to identify potential underlying issues. A buyer should focus on common wear items for a vehicle of this age and mileage, specifically inspecting the suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs for excessive wear or corrosion. Given the age of the car, checking the structural integrity of the chassis for rust and examining the exhaust system for leaks or corrosion is also advisable. The lack of recorded advisories in the most recent tests suggests no immediate consumable issues like tyre tread or wiper blades were flagged, but the history of failures means a thorough check of the braking system and steering components is required to ensure no binding calipers or worn components remain.
