2013 Volkswagen Polo 1.2L Petrol · YJ62 XCU

The vehicle remains in a state of immediate roadworthiness following its most recent MOT test on 1 December 2025. This inspection passed at 26,383 miles with no defects recorded, indicating a stable maintenance trend leading into the present. The absence of advisories or failures in the latest report suggests the vehicle has maintained high operational standards during its most recent period. The recorded mileage is exceptionally low for a 13-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 2,029 miles per year. This low usage pattern suggests the car was used primarily for short local trips or remained stationary for extended periods. While this reduces mechanical wear on the drivetrain and engine components, it increases the risk of age-related degradation in rubber parts and fluids. The data provided is clean, showing no history of rapid mileage accumulation or frequent recurring mechanical failures. Despite the clean MOT record, an in-person inspection must focus on components that suffer from age rather than distance. A buyer should check for cracking in tyre sidewalls and perished suspension bushes, as these are common in low-mileage vehicles. The braking system should be examined for surface corrosion on the discs and binding calipers, which often occur when a car sits idle. Additionally, the structural integrity of the underbody should be verified to ensure that corrosion has not developed despite the lack of road use.
