2020 Honda CMX 500 A2-L 0.5L Petrol · AY20 PVN

The Honda CMX 500 A2-L presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent DVSA test on 9 April 2026 at 7,452 miles recording a pass with no defects. Every annual examination since 2023 has returned a clean result. The vehicle shows no worsening or recurring mechanical faults across the available history. Registered in 2020, the machine has covered just 7,452 miles in roughly six years, averaging 1,242 miles per year. The MOT record charts a gentle accumulation: 6,151 miles on 2 May 2023, 7,342 miles on 30 April 2024, 7,397 miles on 10 April 2025, and 7,452 miles on 9 April 2026. Such low annual use indicates either light running or extended periods of storage. The sequence shows no missed tests and no sudden mileage jumps, leaving a sparse but entirely clean ledger. A buyer should still conduct a physical inspection focused on age-related deterioration not captured by the pass results. The tester flagged no advisories on suspension bushes, brake discs, or structural corrosion, yet prolonged standing can cause tyre sidewall cracking and hardened rubber components. We recommend checking the front and rear tyres for perishing, verifying brake caliper operation for any binding after idle months, and examining the chain and sprockets for lubrication status. The exhaust emissions and structural integrity passed each time, suggesting the previous keeper maintained basic upkeep. Nonetheless, inspect the frame and fork legs for surface corrosion and confirm the clutch and gearbox engage smoothly given the limited running. The documented history supports a low-risk purchase, but in-person scrutiny of consumables remains prudent.
