2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2.1L Diesel · DA61 PHX

The 2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passed its most recent MOT on 16 July 2024 at 285,300 miles with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend is stable across the available history. Three consecutive annual tests between July 2022 and July 2024 returned passes with no advisories, indicating the vehicle met roadworthiness standards at each examination. The recorded mileage rose from 246,858 miles in the 20 July 2022 test to 258,995 miles by 19 July 2023, then to 285,300 miles at the 16 July 2024 test. This equates to roughly 19,000 miles per year, consistent with high-use commercial operation for a 15-year-old van. The sparse three-entry record shows no gaps or sudden accumulation spikes, though the absence of older tests limits insight into earlier wear patterns. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs given the 285,300-mile total. The clean MOT history does not capture gradual consumable degradation between tests. Structural corrosion beneath the chassis and around wheel arches warrants close examination, as the tester logged no advisories on these points in any recorded year. The lack of flagged faults suggests previous operators kept the Sprinter to minimum pass standards, but high mileage means drivetrain and turbo components carry substantial service life. Verify service records and inspect for oil leaks or gearbox wear before purchase.
