2017 Vauxhall Combo 1.2L Diesel · FJ17 YBD

The 2017 Vauxhall Combo presents a stable and highly reassuring maintenance trend, culminating in a completely clean pass on 6 March 2026 at 64,292 miles. The tester recorded zero defects, indicating the vehicle met all structural, mechanical, and emissions standards without requiring any remedial work. This unblemished recent history suggests the current owner has maintained the van to a high standard, addressing wear items proactively rather than waiting for them to fail. The trend is firmly stable, showing no signs of deterioration or neglect. The mileage accumulation aligns closely with typical light commercial use, averaging roughly 7,100 miles per year over its nine-year lifespan. The progression reveals a notable period of minimal use between June 2025 and October 2024, where the odometer advanced by just 55 miles over seven months, suggesting the vehicle may have stood idle for extended periods. Despite this, the subsequent jump to 64,292 miles by March 2026 shows a return to regular service. An anomaly exists in the 13 July 2023 entry, where a failed test at 56,701 miles shows no recorded defects, immediately followed by a pass at 56,703 miles on the same day; this likely indicates an aborted initial test or a data recording error rather than a mechanical fault. Given the absence of recurring mechanical advisories, a buyer should focus on typical wear items associated with a working van of this age and mileage. Inspect the brake discs and pads for uneven wear, which can occur if the vehicle has spent time standing still. Check the tyres for flat-spotting or perishing, a common issue with commercial vehicles that experience long periods of inactivity. Examine the suspension bushes and coil springs for deterioration, as urban delivery work often subjects these components to heavy stress. A thorough underbody inspection remains prudent to confirm the structural integrity of the chassis and load floor, ensuring no hidden corrosion has developed during the periods of low mileage.
