2022 Toyota Corolla Icon HEV CVT 1.8L Hybrid electric (clean) · FN72 UXZ

The vehicle most recently passed its MOT on 5 March 2026 with no defects recorded. Looking at the historical data, the maintenance trend is remarkably stable, with the car consistently passing its annual inspections without any major failures. The few advisories noted in previous years, specifically regarding the tyre pressure monitoring system and rear tyre wear, appear to have been addressed or are minor in nature, suggesting a vehicle that has been kept in a roadworthy condition. The recorded mileage of 141,824 miles is exceptionally high for a four year old vehicle, averaging approximately 35,456 miles per year. Such rapid mileage accumulation typically indicates heavy long distance or commercial use. While the Toyota hybrid drivetrain is renowned for its durability, this level of usage places significant stress on all mechanical consumables, including suspension bushes, engine mounts, and the CVT transmission. The buyer should be aware that the vehicle is entering a phase where major wear and tear items will require more frequent replacement than a typical low mileage example. During a physical inspection, particular attention should be paid to the rear axle and suspension geometry. A previous advisory for inner edge wear on the rear tyres indicates a potential misalignment or worn suspension bushes. On a test drive, listen for any knocks or clunks when traversing uneven surfaces and check the current tyres for uneven wear patterns which would suggest the issue persists. Additionally, verify that the tyre pressure monitoring system is fully operational and that the previous warning light has been permanently resolved. Given the high mileage, it is imperative to verify a comprehensive service history with documented oil changes and hybrid health checks. Inspect the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting, and ensure there is no brake shudder under deceleration, as high mileage can lead to disc warping or binding calipers. Finally, check the condition of the 12V auxiliary battery and all fluid levels, ensuring that the service intervals have been strictly adhered to despite the accelerated usage rate to ensure the long term reliability of the powertrain.
